The
ScotLanka Network
Building Bridges Between Two Nations
The Scotlanka Network has been established as a registered
charity by Sri Lankans resident in Scotland. Scotlanka welcomes
all those who wish to be active participants in the effort
to build harmony and mutual respect between people of different
ethnic backgrounds.
This spirit of harmony and connection was best seen in
the aftermath of the Tsunami disaster when the people of
Scotland worked together in the relief effort that followed.
Scotlanka seeks to preserve that sense of harmony and common
purpose. It will do this by encouraging social contact and
developing projects that can help to foster integration
and bring cultural and economic benefits to both Scotland
and Sri Lanka.
To facilitate this work and at the request of its members
the Scotlanka Network has formed the seven user groups listed
